Belonging. Community.
Connection.
Grey Era Adult Resource Services (G.E.A.R.S) is a specialized adult resource provider dedicated to supporting individuals as they transition from children’s services into adulthood. We exist to bridge the critical gap that appears when formal foster care and child welfare supports end, but developmental, cognitive, mental health, and behavioural needs remain.
At Grey Era, turning 18 is not treated as a finish line but as another step in a complex journey. Our homes and programs offer safe, stable, and nurturing environments where adults can continue to receive the support, guidance, and structure they need to thrive.
We provide a continuum of care that ranges from fully supported living arrangements to semi-independent homes, all designed around a client-centered and anti-oppressive practice. Through individualized programming, clinical oversight, and strong community partnerships, G.E.A.R.S ensures that no one is left behind as they move into adulthood.
Who We Support
Grey Era Adult Resource Services supports adults who have aged out of foster care and children’s services and present with a range of profiles and needs. Eligibility typically includes individuals experiencing:
Social, communicative, cognitive, or developmental delays.
Dual diagnosis and complex mental health needs.
Behavioural difficulties, emotional dysregulation, or aggressive behaviours.
Mild to severe learning disabilities, sensory issues, or seizure disorders.
Challenges with transitions, self-regulation, or maintaining safe relationships.
We serve adults with mild and moderate exceptionalities as well as those with more intensive needs that require structured routines, consistent expectations, and coordinated professional involvement.
